AbbVie has launched Live:Lab with the ambitious goal of improving the health of the nation. Through Live:Lab, AbbVie wants to better engage and empower adults, aged between 40 and 60 years old, to take control of their own wellbeing.

As a society we're living longer but more of our lives are spent in poor health. AbbVie recognises that now is the time to take action. Through research, AbbVie has found that the 'Fear of Finding out' is often a major hurdle preventing people from seeking health advice and Live:Lab has been created to tackle this challenge1.

AbbVie in partnership with 2020health, has discovered that this 'Fear of Finding out' is causing people to 'sleepwalk' their way into ill health in later life1. Live:Lab and its unique group of collaborators from the worlds of tech and health, will come together to find a solution to this hurdle.

One of the ways the Live:Lab collaborators will solve this problem is by crowd-sourcing lifestyle data, so they can quickly gain a deep understanding of how people behave. In particular, this will help the collaborators understand how people engage with health information.

With this knowledge, the collaborators will then proceed to create a tangible solution which will empower people to take control of their wellbeing, and ultimately improve the health of the nation.
